Son Lewis from New Jersey

I had the honor of opening for Johnny three times, twice at the Turning Point and once at an outdoor event in Randolph NJ (The Barn). He was always gracious and courteous and seemed generally interested in talking to me about the state of Blues and performing... He always seemed like he wanted to take a couple of gigs with just an acoustic guitar to experiment with. I surely miss him and his music... a LOT!

I was lucky enough to see Johnny play twice at The Turning Point in Peirmont, NY and once at Tramps in NYC. He was the ultimate bluesman and showman. Johnny showed anyone who saw him play just how much fun you can have with a guitar in your hand and a microphone in front of you. His band always rocked and he always left the crowd on it's feet as he wiped his forhead and said, "Goodnight!". Thanks Johnny!!!!!
